So Super Duper and Mark of Aeacus have been nominated as "Best Queer Indie" for the Queeries, hosted by Comic Book Queers. It was a seriously tough decision for me, as another favorite comic, Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore, was also nominated. Check out the link and cast your vote!

Obama and the Black Vote
Time and time again, it's mentioned on the news how black voters are crucial to Obama's success, implying that he only has a good chance in states with large black populations. This is a bit misleading. Let's compare the actual percentages from the primaries:
States with large black populations
South Carolina, 55% Obama, 29.7% black
Georgia, 66% Obama, 28.1 % black
States with low black populations
Nebraska, 68% Obama, 4.8% black
Kansas, 74% Obama, 6.6% black
Hawaii, 76% Obama, 3.3% black
Idaho, 80% Obama, 0.8% black
States with large black populations
South Carolina, 55% Obama, 29.7% black
Georgia, 66% Obama, 28.1 % black
States with low black populations
Nebraska, 68% Obama, 4.8% black
Kansas, 74% Obama, 6.6% black
Hawaii, 76% Obama, 3.3% black
Idaho, 80% Obama, 0.8% black

Farewell, Dungeon Master
Gary Gygax, one of the creators of the Dungeons and Dragons brand, has passed away. I was a D&D geek growing up, so many of my favorite books were related to the franchise (Dragonlance, The Dark Elf novels, Forgotten Realms). He was also the guy responsible for the Dungeons & Dragons animated series, one of my all-time favorites. Rest in peace, Gary.

Something Good
I loved all those cheesey dance moves from the 80's, I loved Utah Saints back in college, and I loved Cardiff, Wales as soon as I started watching Torchwood. Amazingly, there's a vid clip that combines ALL THREE! This totally made my day:
In the middle of the vid, they're doing the Cabbage Patch! Hilarious!
