West Hollywood Book Fair

Hey all!

I'll be at the West Hollywood Bookfair this coming Sunday, September 30th. Unfortunately the print version of Issue 5 will not be ready for this event. However, the fair should still be a lot of fun, and a great way to catch up on Issues 1-4 if you haven't already snatched them up.

From Prism Comics:

Prism Comics will be exhibiting at the 6th annual West Hollywood Book Fair on Sunday, September 30. If you are in Los Angeles that weekend, come visit this popular, multiple award-winning Book Fair that attracted over 20,000 readers and writers last year. We are in Booth 17 E in the Comics Area on the basketball court.

The Fair is free and takes place from 10 AM to 6 PM in the heart of gay West Hollywood - West Hollywood Park, 647 North San Vincente. Over 300 authors and 100 exhibitors will be featured plus 12 stages with author panels, live story telling, performances and more. Parking is also free at the Pacific Design Center on San Vincente across from the Park.

PRISM is proud to be a non-profit sponsor of the Book Fair and will be there in force with LGBT comics and creators. The current signing schedule is as follows: 11 AM - 12 noon Michael ("Troy") Derry and Lynx ("The Goth Queen Needs a Mate") Delirium; 12 - 1 PM Tommy ("Pride High") Roddy and Steve ("Shirtlifter") MacIsaac; 1 - 2 PM Tony Lawrence and Iceman ("Western Nightmares"); 2 - 4 PM Marc ("Manhunter"; "Torso”) Andreyko; 5 - 6 PM Victor ("Surge of Power") Stone.

Comics will also be represented by Golden Apple Comics, Tokyo Pop and DJ’s Universal Comics. There will be a spotlight on “Fables” with Bill Willingham and West Hollywood Book Fair poster and “Fables” cover artist, James Jean; a “Comics Go Hollywood” panel; a “Star Trek” panel; a manga panel; a graphic novels panel; and perhaps a super hero or two.

:whine: And just WHY are there no West Seattle Book Fairs for you to attend... Well, OK, granted, West Seattle is a decidedly different community than West Hollywood, so yeah... prolly more of a South Capitol Hill sorta thing... but anyway, Seattle SOMEWHERE - that way at least I could actually swing by for an autograph or something...

Cheers! Always good to hear updates and that all's well!
