Methi Pulao and Masoor Dal

My roommate had tons of kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves) in the pantry, so settled on Methi Pulao (fenugreek rice) for dinner, along with Masoor Dal. I make this dal pretty often, choosing the spices according to the dish accompanying it. The Methi Pulao was modified from a recipe posted on Bawarchi.com / Sify Food.
